The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

The fabled Christmas song claims that “Christmas” is the most wonderful time of the year. I would beg to differ! As far as I am concerned, Fall is the most wonderful time of the year!

The temperature is cooling off but it is not bone chilling cold yet. Football has started. God’s creation is putting on its cloak of red, orange and brown! Leaves begin to fall and cover the ground in a panoply of color. School kids ride bright yellow buses with colorful backpacks in tow headed off to classrooms all over the country side.

So fall is in the air at FBC! This means Harvest festival October 31, Thanksgiving dinner on November 13 and preparations for a Christmas Eve service on December 24! Fall is a busy season for the church! It is important for all of us to make these events a matter of serious prayer. Plan to participate as well.

Pray for one another. Pray for the church, the Body of Christ. Pray daily for God’s leadership. Pray for these special events. Pray for a major infilling of God’s Spirit and this fall will truly be “the most wonderful time of the year!”
